Honestly, even though Andrews answers give you a nice range of titles typical in the field, it is all subjective and relative to the budget and creativity of the company providing the position.

Some will call you an "Event Marketer" and offer you $20,00 annual with "ptential to make up to $60,000 pending performance, while others will call you a Marketing Strategist and offer $35,000 plus a holiday bonus and standard annual raises. Of course, these numbers I recall from applying for positions in the past and from the stories of my partners/associates.

Plus, experience plays a huge role. Entry level "We will train you" positions are much lower and it is very difficult to surpass the seasoned marketers with formal education. Your level of education, presentablilty, and experience will all play toward your salary. Some marketing positions offer well into the 6 figure range...again, it all goes back to the company's budget and your experience.

Personally, I began to loathe the "salary" thing (they work you to death and restrict your creativity)....that's why I opened my own firm. I make MUCH more than ever before and can express my ideas to clients without restriction.

    Good Luck!!
