Shifting To The Us, Europe, Canada

Posted by deepankarboro on 250 Points
Hi

I am Deepankar from Mumbai, India. I had worked in the IT-BFSI domain for 3 years. After my MBA, I switched my career path to FMCG Sales. I am currently working as a Sales Section Manager with a GCC FMCG distributor firm, which deals in P&G, Clorox, Kellogs in Bahrain.
I am very much interested in moving abroad to the US, Canada or Europe.

I would be glad if someone could help me with information regarding the same.

Regards
Deepankar

One of the challenges is getting a Visa to allow you to work in any of these countries. The easiest route would be to get a company to sponsor you. Is it possible to use your experience at the current firm to get a job with one of the multinational companies that you distribute for? Might involve getting a job at their local office first, with an eventual hoped for move to another country later.

If you have money, you can buy your way in to these other countries. Some give Visas to people who invest a set amount (hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars) in the country. or for a smaller price tag, you could o the route of a student Visa and get more education in that country and use that time to also look for work there. Keep in mind the country's policies on Visa for foreign students in choosing the country to go to school at, as some make it easier than others to get a work Visa after you graduate (the U.S. is hard).

    Dear Peter

Thanks a lot for your response. The FMCG firms for whom we distribute, doesn't have a local setup here. So, the location transfer thing is out of scope.

The student VISA thing is something which I thought of before, but then it requires me to give an exam(GMAT/GRE/TOEFL) and then successful application to any of the colleges.

Are there any recruitment consultancies which look for foreign candidates, and experience?

    Regards
    Deepankar
