Best Experiential Marketing Targeted To Consumers?

What are the most efficient experiential marketing activities you have seen / deployed? I'm more specifically interested in experiential activities in a retail environment, where the consumer/shopper interacts with the product or solution.
Efficiency being measured by the level of engagement, entertainment factor, education about the product, and influence to drive sales.

    Dyson vacuum cleaners. However, it's almost impossible to measure "engagement": the term is far too vague. What masters most is sales.
