You need to clearly identify who in the world is likely to buy your candles - and how they'll find your site. When selling things, you need to clearly state not only what things look like (and in your case, what they smell like) in a way that people can relate to - and not just physically (emotionally, too). Are you selling candles (what's so wonderful about soy candles) or selling experiences? Are you candles made from unique organic oils that aren't available anywhere else in the world? Are you a world-class perfumer able to distill your own scents?

Start with your primary target audience. Who buys candles like yours? When? Where? Why? How do they decide on a candle purchase? What's important to them?

It looks like you've started at the wrong end -- what YOU want to do and sell. That's backward thinking for real marketers. You need to define and understand your target audience first, and then create an offering that will deliver against their most important unmet need.

Having just attended the Atlanta Gift Show; many many soy, aromatic candles - many. I'm guessing 90%+ of that business is brick n mortar as the consumer wants to smell the candles...regardless of the brand.

Reviewing your website (not counting a few blurry pictures)...how do you intend to allow the your consumer to experience what they can not touch/smell?

The above advice is correct on finding the correct customer, but then what? Once you get them to your website how do you intend for them to join in the story?

Mr. Goodman and Mr. Hamilton's advice may get them to your site...you may want to rework the 'story'
