Tagline Required For A Tablet

Posted by Sir_Lagalot on 50 Points
Hey guys,
We're marketing a new tablet and required a tagline. The tablet is a high performance android tab that is being marketing with our LTE data plan.

the current tag line proposed was "Explore the world from the palm of your hand with the new —- Tab"

we are trying to promote usage of our data plan via this tablet that is being released. The target group is affluent individuals including students and professionals between the ages of 16-45 who require high speed throughput rates on the go.

please advise a catchy tagline.

P.S: the tagline is supposed to communicate the sleek tablet with blazing reliable LTE speeds.

You don't need a "catchy" tag line. You need a better marketing plan—one that speaks directly to the needs and aspirations of your target audience.

    Who is "we"?

What kind of tablet and which manufacturer?

    Which network?

What resources do the manufacturer and the network provider offer you, as resellers, to promote their products? What are the primary benefits to end users of this product and this network?

Why are you the best group to buy from?

    What makes you stand out?

    What makes you different?

Who is "we"? - a very large ICT service provider.

What kind of tablet and which manufacturer? this is a tablet manufactured in taiwan, its a 7" quad core tablet that we are bundling with our LTE service.

Which network? , based in the middle east, i'm sure you wouldnt have heard of it :)

-- The primary benefit are the snappy LTE speeds, the speed is our competitive advantage at the moment when compared to competitors.

Why are you the best group to buy from?
while this is an entry level tablet with respect to the specifications, we subsidize the price tremendously when bundling with our LTE service.

    What makes you stand out?
that would be our throughput rates and speed again. the tablet as i mentioned is an entry level tab, hardly comparable to the ipad or other well known brands, however it is less costly and the specs arent that bad.

    What makes you different?
none of our competitors have released a tablet as yet, our competitors consist of the local telecoms. we provide data only i.e LTE, the tablet does however double up as a phone as it has a sim slot that can be used with any other provider. Our competitors however offer half the throughput rates we do at the same price.

the tagline is a must on all our product packaging.

What do you expect this tag line to do? What primary benefit do you need it to convey?
  • Posted by Sir_Lagalot on Author
the message to be conveyed via the tagline on the product packaging is the superior LTE speeds via a powerful tablet.the tagline "Explore the world from your palm with the new blah Tab" was proposed by our agency whom we outsource to, but we didnt really like it much so were searching for alternatives.

an example from one of our internet dongles is "Speeds so sublime, connect anywhere, anytime"

in the present case, the product is an affordable sleek light-weight android tablet that comes with our LTE service. my apologies if i'm still not clear , i'm not much of a marketing person, more product development.

So you've paid an agency a decent amount of money. They've given you something they believe has value and validity. You don't like it, and now, you want something else, from somewhere else, from someone else, who knows next to nothing about your company? And you want this for nothing?

Why not ask your agency for more options?
  • Posted by Sir_Lagalot on Author
its not as simple as that.the agency is hardly creative. the work they turn in is shoddy. and believe it or not, you know about as much about our product as they do after 2 years of working with us. unfortunately upper management isnt too concerned with these things. I look elsewhere for these reasons.
