Howdy all! I'm a graphics and web designer, I get a lot of visits to my advert regarding banner designs but there's clearly something missing because they come, they look, but they don't buy.. so my assumption is they do want a banner designed or some sort of advert but not from me for whatever reason. It can't be my sample designs as their pretty good compared to my competition. Here is my advert:

Any advice would be great! My advert has had 114 views and they've left without so much as asking a question.. is there something wrong? I'm not a marketer, I've never done marketing.

What are the keywords people have searched on to find your page? It may be simply people are searching for something unrelated that your advertisement ranks well for because of the keywords. Were the 114 views of different people, or of search engines? What's missing from your advertisement is why YOU are the best as what you do - and some proof (your banners bring 18% more sales, for example).

You need to focus on the unique and compelling BENEFIT you deliver, not so much on the component parts and what services you offer.

Why should someone hire you? How will their lives be better? What is their ultimate goal? Why are you the best way for them to achieve that goal?

Start my researching your customers - not you. Both Mr. Hamilton-Roth and Mr Goodman are correct.

You must begin looking at your company and it's offerings from your customers 'eyes'. It is not what you think you need to say, you must say what they want to hear...if you want to drive customers to your site - adhere to the two gentlemen...it's when they get to your site that you must relay to their needs - solve their problems with a good value.
