What Are The Differences Between Big 4s' Branding Strategy?

Most people think the Big 4s offer same quality level services, therefore, price becomes the most important aspect in choosing from them. Is that true?

    The "Big 4" (actually I think right now it's 5, although this could change at any time) are the big house consulting firms:

    Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting),
    BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting),
    Cap Gemini Ernst & Young,
    Deloitte
    IBM Global Services / PricewaterhouseCoopers.

    For many large firms it has nothing to do with price, it's more because it is an almost automatic choice to turn to one of the Big 5 firms because they are often already on-site for another project.

    That's why IBM got into a couple of years ago, they didn't like seeing all that consulting money go by them.

    And like DavidatHaley said, nobody ever got fired for hiring IBM.
