Reaching The Right Marketing Executive To Pitch Advertising/sponsorship Package For Print Publication

We publish a lifestyle music magazine in Los Angeles with very respectable circulation numbers. This is a free music magazine that contains a free full-length CD with every issue that pertains to an adult (ages 25 and over) eclectic crowd. We offer some very unique branding/advertising opportunities, such as a sponsorship package where a company can brand the CD and the CD section in the magazine plus include a direct marketing piece within the magazine's clear plastic wrap (visible with the front cover). Music companies have been extremely supportive but we need to expand and let our offerings known to other, lifestyle companies (alcohol, clothing, tech, etc.) that would make sense. We have found it very challenging to reach the appropriate people at these companies to pitch our ideas. We've been slowly reaching out to ad agencies but since what we offer is not very common in our market we've seen some skepticism which has slowed us down. We're now looking into hiring a marketing company specializing in sponsorships and direct marketing with already established contacts. Any suggestions on what else we could do? Thanks.
