Why Is A Business Plan Important

Need to know why a business paln is important to a business.

    Of course Randall is right. If you don't know where you're going, you'll end up someplace else. (Thanks to Yogi Berra for that one.)

    There's another reason, too: It gives you a structured way to plan what you're going to do, and pretty much ensures that you're not going to overlook something important, forget to budget something, or find out after it's too late that you don't have a viable business proposition.

    I'm in the middle of creating a business plan for a client, and you wouldn't believe all the issues that were never addressed until now. The business planning process is probably as important as the document you end up with.

    (Note: I ended that last sentence with TWO prepositions. Not bad, eh?)
