Wal Mart Marketing Strategy

Hello, I am a MBA student in Brazil and I have to write a marketing plan about a company. I chose the Wal Mart due to the fact it is one of the largest and well-known companies in the US and because we also have Wal Mart here in Brazil. I would like to find out deeper information about their marketing strategy, since I will be comparing it to the strategy used in Brazil. I need to describe the changes that they have done and analyze how marketing has been used by Wal Mart in Brazil and in the U.S as well as analyse what has been done through out the years by Wal Mart in both countries to achieve the results set by the company.
I am having difficulties in finding out the information to write about it, because we do not have much written regarding Wal Mart here in Brazil. Can anyone help me, please? I really appreciate it.

    Liliane, there is a lot of information on the Web about Wal-Mart, it's marketing strategy, and companies that are outsmarting this giant. In fact, I just wrote an article for our newsletter entitled "Outsmarting the B2B Goliaths" -- how B2B companies can use the competitive tactics of B2C companies that are thriving in spite of Wal-Mart (www.rethinkmarketing.com/articles/outsmart.htm ).     Liliane, I found a TON of stuff about WalMart in Brazil with a simple Google search.

    Maybe you need to try your own search, but change your spelling of Wal Mart to WalMart.

    Consider spending some time with www.googleguide.com to learn how to get the most from Google. Very few people seem to know how to use search engines effectively. Those that do just might end up ruling the world!
