    Photoshop for sure!
If you don't have it - I would suggest finding someone who does. If your looking for simple fix or color change - It's not worth purchasing the program. I could even help if needed.

I use Photoshop and LOVE it! The Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop included) is sold at a discount price on academicsuperstore.com if you are or know someone who can verify that they are a teacher or a student. I got mine as a student and it saved me a LOT of dinero!

    Good luck!

I have found paint shop pro incredibly easy to use. photoshop is also a good choice. Go to www.download.com and you can try several different or get free trials of several. You can also purchase an older legit copy of paint shop pro for under ten bucks on one of the web auction sites such as ebay.

    Hope that helps.

Photoshop is great, but very complex, not to mention tough on the pocket book.

You might find a few copies of Paint Shop Pro on old cover CD's from computer magazines. Yes, they used to give away a lite version for free. Had a few of those in my 'poorer' college days to get by (pre-opensource days).

But i would heartily endorse GIMP. Gimp will do everything you need, and then some, for free. Go to https://www.gimp.org/ and download a copy. Install, and go for it. Free is priced right. For a simple edit or twek of an image (jpeg), it will do it for you.

I love PhotoShop, but it's certainly overkill for the project you describe. It's like buying a $3,000 Nikon SLR to take snapshots at a kid's birthday party.

There are some good suggestions above ... and I may have to try Gimp myself. Sounds interesting. Thanks, Darcy and BARQ.

You might also be able to find a friend with Photoshop who will just do you a favor and fix the colors for you as a favor. If that's really all it is, it won't take more than a minute or two.

    Hi

To change the colours of some parts of a picture, you need a software that can break your picture into objects. Though photoshop is best for the purpose that you have mentioned, CoralDraw is the suggested if you need high reslotion, high precision work done..

    Best of luck!

Wow! Thanks everyone for some great responses. I don't mind paying for software that is worth it. I am sure I will have other more complex tasks, so I am going to download a few trial versions and try them out on this relatively simple task.

In the spirit of honesty, I am going to chicken out on the Open Source path. Don't flame me! I just don't have the patience to handle it. I like my software tied up nice and neatly.

Well photoshop is like $1200 and can take years to learn and gimp is free but is just as complex. I use gimp and it works BETTER than photoshop for web stuff but if you are going to be printing stuff then I would use photoshop because it has YMCK support.

That been said I personally would not be editing a JPEG file if I could help it. The reason being is that every time you save a JPEG file it loses a bit of information. Even if you just open the file and then save it again you still lose some information. The more information you lose the less quality it has.

If you are able to get the source file such as the .PSD, .tiff or .ai then that would be MUCH better.

I wish I could accept this response but I closed the question already. Great suggestion about getting the source file in a different format. I was having some challenges with the JPEG anyway. Thank you!
