What's the most suitable method, strategy to promote generic pharmaceutical drugs ??

Don't reps usually take samples, promotional items (brollies, desk tidies etc) to doctors ? i have always thought that as being effective!

I have worked in the meical field for over 12 years. One of the bigggest concerns amoung patients and doctors is the efficacy of the generic drug versus the name brand. This is a MAJOR issue.

About 90% of my patients in the past that have come back symptomatic have said 'Well, I did get the generic.."

Another issue is the bulk content, or fillers" if you will. There is some controversey as to whether or not these fillers differ from brand name and cause "allergic" reactions.

I would start out by formulating reponses to those and other concerns you may have discovered. Then it gets down to "value" perception...convincing people AND physicians that generics are a viable and reliable alternative.
