Website Question

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Ok, I am having a hard time really trying to define what our website image should be as we have a wide target ... I thought maybe targeting the teens, and I keep returning to this market segment, but I don't want to turn off parents of young kids, or affluent singles, either.

Unfortunately, we cannot have our site professionally maintained, and I have to do the stuff myself with some second rate programs ... we are rebranding and feel that our site is very important to that, but have no budget to do so. We want to stand out from the rest and offer clear and concise information for our customers.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Point of clarification, Kate:

Which website are you considering in your question here, the Capital Hill Mall website?

KateCHM, even large corporate like mine have similar problems, the best way is to design different landing pages for different market segments, so for example:

    www.ntlhome.com for residential customers
    www.business.ntl.com for business customers

You are designing the business site still further so that once there, its clear where different business markets should go. The reality is that much of the content is the same, you just need to show a differnt landing page to make your customers/prospects feel loved.

    Good Luck
