    Well, it can have many definitions dependening on the context.

    In marketing, a category manager is responsible for strategic marketing for a "category" of a service or product (ie. IT, Video, Computers, Books) in order to maximize profits etc in that specific area.

    Sometimes it is used to decribe a person who analyses and writes reviews or reports for a particulur type of product.


    It just depends on the context.
