Sweet Shop Name - Need Some Help!!

Posted by jhewitt605 on 250 Points
Hello everybody! I'm looking to do a sweet shop that would sell cupcakes, cookies and gourmet caramel, but the name I had come up with doesn't really work anymore. I had originally come up with The Sweet Doughtique, but I feel like that's limiting since I want to do Caramel and cupcakes too. I really wanted The Sweet Boutique, but the domain is ready taken. My idea is something shabby chic that has the fancy boutique feel to it. I'd have gourmet caramel as the main seller, and then cookies and cupcakes. I didn't want to limit the name to any one of the 3 things, so I was looking to have something with 'Sweets' in the title to keep it fairly broad. Any ideas would be amazingly helpful!

Where will your sweet shop be located? You could, for example, put your region before SweetBoutique - and get a URL that's not yet registered. Also, if caramel is likely to be your best seller - why not name your store that way (Caramel Sweets, for example)?

    SHOPSWEETBOUTIQUE.COM

This is available and would work. You can still call your store Sweet Boutique.

your-sweet-boutique.com is also available if this helps.

Do ask your customers what they think too! They are the ones who are buying, after all!

caramel-cupcakes.com is also available, as is 3-c-boutique.com

    What are your thoughts?

Moriarity - I was afraid to limit the name to any of the things I was looking to sell. The only reason is that I wanted to be as broad as I could if for some reason I shy away from selling one thing over the others.

Phil - It does make sense that a play in words could be too far from what I'm actually selling so it would end up confusing people. The only thing is that the 'standard' names are already taken....I like The Sweet Shop, but its a little too generic. I was hoping for something a little catchier. I thought Sweetables would be ok, but that's taken....plus that may still be too far from what I'm looking to do and end up causing confusion.

I kind of like the idea of mashing 2 words together to get a single word. I would like it to end up being a name, that people know, more than a name that people instantly know what I do, if that makes sense?
