    You have two problems: finding something new and finding something that people want. I'd suggest starting by seeing what's hot in banking innovation: https://bankinnovation.net/ and https://bankinnovation.info/ (and extrapolate from there).

    But that website doesnt contain what new service that can be started in banking sector.. Please can u suggest new service.. For eg: Think net banking was not introduced yet in market, so by introducing net banking can be a new service to customers. similarly suggest few new services that can be started in banking sector.

    Community-based microloans. Instead of having the bank be the underwriter & lender, have them partner with local individuals/companies for the lending. This will allow less-established individuals/businesses to get funding (another option to using Kickstarter, etc.).

    looks like you drew the short straw with banking!

    Now before I start, none of us are bankers. Sure I knows about how derivative options on credit default swaps - that does not make me an expert!

    So let's follow Jay's idea with some facts about micro-lending - the Grameen bank was set up in Bangladesh and was an immediate success: https://www.grameen-info.org/

    https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grameen_Bank

    Does this get you a step closer? Because when I look at banking the only thing that seems to be missing is imagination. Seems ot me that would help solve a lot of the current problems.

    @Moriarty...
    Is this Micro-lending service started in India? because as per d link "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graamen_Bank" it says "the system is now used in more than 43 countries" so.

    Yup, it did - more what you'd properly call the Indian subcontinent as Bangladesh is an independent country now (it was India until 1948 and Pakistan until '72; my pa was involved in the evacuation ... ).

    The idea of Grameen is powerful. I don't know if it's any use to you?

    There are a lot of community based 'banks' here in Europe that are local. In Europe itself the regulations are more strangulations, you'll only be able to sort a bank with a whole shed load of hassle. Bit like the schools.

    Having said all this, bankers are not the most popular of figures in our day and age. I wonder if you could do something more on the amusing side of things (whilst having a serious core study)? Thinking of lampposts ... but that's getting a little naughty.
