Selecting A Slogan

Posted by yerva_hullett on 250 Points
I am a home based travel agency, named Peace of Mind Vacation. I am looking for a catchy slogan for my company. I have recently acquired a logo and believe a slogan is the next step of my branding process.

We specialize in cruises, all inclusive bad group travel. I have continuously run into people who just haven't taken the opportunity to travel but wants to see new things. I also want to take the hassle away from the client so that they can allow new to do the planning and enjoy a worry free trip.

Please please please help he with a slogan. The only one that has cone to my mind is Turning dreams into Realities.

Any help that can be provided is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Yerva

Why do you feel a need for a slogan? What do you want it to do for you?

If your name didn't communicate what you do, then I could understand the need for a tagline or slogan. But your company name seems pretty clear. What else would you like to communicate (in the slogan)?

As for your "branding process," I'd focus more on lead generation and conversion (i.e., sales). If you do a really good job for your clients, the "branding" will take care of itself.

Where is your target audience? What do you know about their current travel habits? How do they decide on a travel agent? What's important to them?

You make some good points. My logic was that "I had to have a slogan", but unlike the idea of letting the bane speak for itself. My target audience are those that want to travel - primarily couples, and groups such as professional organizations, family reunions, sports clubs, girls trip and etc.

With today's technology a lot of people wound just use the Internet and do it themselves rather than use an agent; however there may be some perks that the agent may be able to offer that the client may not be able to get otherwise. We have access to done desks that may not be open to the public. We also have the ability to compare different vendors for packages at the sane time. I want to give them the peace of mind that if they use me, I will handle all there needs without any stress to them.

If you specialize in cruises, then that's a good point to make for your tagline ("Specializing in Worldwide Cruises" or "Cruise Planning Experts").

I've worked with many agencies including cruise-only agents. Most take a while to admit that neither their name nor their slogan brings in business. Once they get to that point, they begin to work hard on talking with as many people as possible. CLIA always offers good suggestions.
