Need A New Name For Our Apprenticeship Program

Posted by jillcincinnati on 250 Points
We are developing an apprenticeship program at the Business College and need to come up with a new name; the concept is, much like an internship, the student will simultaneously attend school and work, but they will receive training on the job as well as a working wage and possibly tuition reimbursement. The concept is, they can move seamlessly into a full-time paid gig with the company who has sponsored them upon graduation.
'Apprentice' is too close to 'co-op' and 'internship' and will cause confusion, we feel. Would really appreciate imput and suggestions - thanks!

Who is the name for -- students or the sponsoring companies?

    A few ideas:

    "Partnership Program"
    "Professional Edge"
    "Workplace Exchange"
    "Hands-On Career Preparation"

Feel free to mix and match.

It would help us if you can tell us which of the suggestions we've made seem promising and which do not. Having that kind of feedback (and your rationale) will let us refine our thinking and give us better direction. Right now we don't really know what criteria you are using, or whether we're even on the right track.
