Select an area that is of particular interest to you and/or will be particularly valuable to a future employer.

Digital Marketing has become such a large field, and a dynamic one, that you have plenty from which to choose. Narrow the options by geographic area, industry/sector, company, and target audience. The more focused the better. Just don't lose sight of the broader business environment.

Whichever ones you want to go for. What aspects of DM have you already studied? What are you interested in?

I have a Bachelor's degree in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University. I would advise you to go for Mobile/Connected devices, big data or video. These are the three mega-trends that will dominate for the next decade. My personal choice would be mobile/connected devices.

    Hope this helps.

I'd say an MBA if you're looking for a next step. I'm no expert but I think MBAs then have the option of going on to get a PhD in marketing if they're so inclined. I think you're better off framing your goal as a PhD in marketing as I think there will be more solid programs in the business schools. Don't worry, though, you'll get to focus on digital. So I'd go look at the websites of business schools and check out all the cool programs.
