    anujagarwal20,

Why do you urgently need a tagline? Do you think it will add real value to your services?Of course the place should have a name, but any short nice-sounding will do the trick. The most important thing for you is to offer value to your target group. So concentrate on what your customers would like to have most of all in your place and what's important to them.Is your drinks and food selection in accordance with their needs? Are the prices affordable to them?Do they like your interior, music if any, furniture? Are your restroom clean and nice, etc?

    Anu:

Like Adam, I'm wondering why this is an urgent need. Did you open your doors without a name or preparing to launch this cafe with advertisements to the college population that soon? Are you looking for a name with an international flare or something the locals can relate to easily..."homey" isn't necessarily what college kids are looking for in a cafe. Do you plan to have Internet/WiFi? Or at least some outlets for laptops?

I'm not that familiar with India, but from what I've read, seems like a lot of the colleges are pushing tech on students. Certainly here in the States, you couldn't expect to draw them in for more than a brief cup of java without concessions of these kinds. Make it a meeting point and you're sure to get return business. Shake 'n' Java Joint could be a name for such a place.

Just a quick thought spurred by Chough's ideas:

    How about simply "Class."

Adds a bit of style and unstuffy sophistication, and endless wordplay possibilities, as in "Let's go to Class."
    OR, "Hey, let's go to

    Class after class."

Jeanine, LOVE "Cafe O' Le", great name for a Irish theme coffee shop :) , or if you want to go for a Spanish theme Café Olé!!
    Has it been done?

I know it's not cool but I love a good pun on shop name! In the UK hairdressers are best for that!
