I must respectfully disagree with Mark. I don't think your name should center on what you do at all. I think it should convey the benefit -- maybe even the emotional reward -- that your customers should expect when they buy/enjoy your products.

Terri's "Twist & Shout" is a good example of that.

But the real answer depends on your prime target audience. Where do they live? What country/state/province? Why do they come to your store? What do they say when you ask them what they like and dislike about your store? What would they wish for to make it even better?

BTW, depending on who you use to design the logo, they may be able to help you with a name too. Very often the two processes -- naming and logo design -- go together, and the synergy of a creative team with both kinds of expertise yields a better result than if they'd been approached separately.

Good luck. This sounds like a neat project. And if you are ready for some serious professional help, you might consider posting a project on the Hire an Expert board. Just click on "Post a Project" in the column at the right side of this page. There are a number of very talented marketers there who can definitely help you with the challenge.

This Know-How Exchange is great for some brainstorming and quick-hit consulting, but when you have an important project, you owe it to yourself to find the right person and engage him/her on an explicit basis, with fair payment for well-defined deliverables.

Naming is that kind of project. You don't want to make that kind of decision based on a whim. It'll be with you for quite a while, and it will set the expectations of your customers.

I'm going a little off the wall and perhaps a bit stero typical.

    I'm leaning towards:

    Florida Schwartz
    Pretzels and smoothies.

It all started long ago when Mr. Schwartz sold his deli and retired to Florida. Upon his arrival in Florida, Mr Schwartz fell in love with the Florida Orange Smoothie. At the same time, he missed his New York Pretzel, so he came out of retirement to create Florida Schwartz Pretzel's and Smoothies.

Okay, maybe I should open up a brand factory. I've been doing a lot of business names recently.

If you use, and it takes off, can I have one half of one cent of every smoothie and pretzel you sell? :-)

I like the "Twist & Shout" thingie a lot, too. Very cool and bright.

Although, when I am trying to create some name, and something comes to my mind - I usually make a search with this word or word combination, to make sure it doesn't belong to someone already.
I just made a search for "Twist & Shout" phrase and here are the results:

    https://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Twist+%26+Shout&fr=yfp-t-501&toggle=1&cop...

As you can see, this idea (unfortunately) came to other minds before... not pretzel-related, but still...

I could offer a couple of unpretentious things:

Smooth up! - this could stand for an emotional appeal.
Smooth Inside - this one could sound like a warm invitation to come in.
Pretzel Wonder - self-explanatory, with a shade of mystery.

or you can use your own name, in order to make it sound more personal, or if you want - cordial... and definitely it would sound like no one else.
I don't know your name, but let's take any, for example:
    John's Pretzels
...or your wife's name (or daughters'), whatever sounds pleasant and bright...

All in all, I wish you a good luck with your business!
My imagination already pictures cool smoothies and crispy pretzels... :)

    Twist & Shake
    The Shaky Twist
    Smooth Twister
    The Banana Twist
    The Twisted Smoothie

As far as a logo/business card. I have experience doing graphic design and I would be happy to work with you in creating a logo. I'm thinking Arched text with a pretzel in the middle (for example if you used the Twisted Smoothie, between "Twisted" and Smoothie" would be a pretzel", then underneath, a blender or cup with a strawberry & banana. I think you should definitely try to incorporate pictures of fresh fruit to make it more appealing.
