What Color To Paint Outside Of Sandwich Shop?

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I need to paint the outside of my one story (cinderblock) sandwich shop. Take-out only. It is on a small island in the Northeast that will cater to a summer crowd. No seafood just hoagies. Can you help with an eyecatching color scheme?

Thank you!!!!

What first comes to mind is what we used to call "Miami Vice" colors. Pastels - and more of a mural or colors rather than a "ho-hum" paint job.

    Good luck!

    Lime green and yellow
    or
    Red and yellow

    Dear Jill,

Paint it so that there's an image of a huge hoagie on it.

This way you introduce fun and there will be no mistaking what
    it is that you sell.

Or paint it so that it looks like a huge red and white gingham
    picnic tablecloth.

If this doesn't make you stand out, nothing will. But before you paint ANYTHING, check with local planning and zoning laws for restrictions.

    Good luck to you.

    hi jill,

I would really need to see the "big picture" visual environment of your sandwich shop to make an informed suggestion. "standing out" can have different interpretations and while you don't need your neighbors permission to paint it any color you wish, the color/design you select depends in part on its surroundings.

    hope this helps,

    Steve

I say go with a 50's sort of theme...or nascar sort of thing... fun colors...kids would love going to get a hoagie from the place with racecars everywhere...autographed items....etc.
