Dog Boutique Name & Taglines?

Posted by ashxmarie on 500 Points
This boutique will cater to solely canines with the possibility of a few feline products in the future if there is demand. I do not want any type of name with "pet" in the main word. There are very few boutiques of this kind in my area and certainly none of the caliber that I intend on presenting.

Services will include retail, grooming, fresh baked treats and the prospect for daycare in the future with retail and grooming being the two main aspects.

The store will carry "designer" brands and will be upscale, so I am hoping to find a name that will reflect this.

I have to agree with Jay, dogs do speak differently across Europe ;-)

Now you're offering freshly baked treats - that means you'll be offering other stuff with an equal attention to detail and quality. That needs clearly expressing. Now a while ago I came up with the concept of real estate for dogs (for a business making dog kennels) and they loved the idea - and came up with something of their own after a little brainstorming. That's just to give you an idea of what's possible, okay? My thoughts are along the same sort of lines - expressing something that's very human in doggie terms!

So let's have a go at some - you may like them (or not) that won't worry me so much at this point, this is just me having a go and seeing what you say in response. Then I really can put my imagination in gear and come up with something more fitting.

Dog's Boutique - for the discerning pet
Dog's Delicatessen - for dogs who enjoy life
Animal Plaza [a bit bland ... it might trigger something]
    Canine Confections [cheesy]
    Canine Carnival [ditto]
    The Canine Emporium
    Canine Corner [not upscale enough]

I'm struggling! What do you think, does this suggest anything to you? What are your thoughts?

Very nice responses! The language suggestion definitely had me interested in clicking the provided link and I do agree with you, Moriarty, about relating to human things through dog terms! Nothing has quite sparked a branching off of any of these ideas, but I'm hoping to find that one keyword that will do the trick. Thank you for your contributions!

The foreign languages had me thinking of the sort of French names people give to boutiques -but not quite as far as "Le boutique excellent pour le chien discriminee" many people wouldn't know a chien even if it bit them ;-) ;-) ;-)

    Dog's Exclusive
Exclusively Canine - only for the discerning dog. [the "only" implies more of an exclusivity than the word itself].

Or, play off a famous designer's name: Yves Saint Bernard, Christian D'og, Ruff Lauren, etc.
