Which "following topic ad" are you referring to? Until you give additional information about whatever your topic is, no one here can help you.

So, and I'm guessing here, as you're less than forthcoming with your information, that you have to debate whether advertising creates unnecessary wants. I would suggest it all depends on your definition of "unnecessary". Advertising (as a subset of marketing) done properly, either creates a preference for a product in a category you are already purchasing, or stimulates the desire for a product you don't currently purchase. If you buy a product after seeing / hearing advertising, and that product doesn't enrich your life in some way, you could construe that as an "unnecessary purchase", so that advertising has created an unnecessary want. But then, how much of what we actually buy is actually "necessary"?

chough nailed it: The answer to your question depends on your definition of "unnecessary." What's "necessary" for one person will be "unnecessary" for another. Good advertising is directed at the people who should (or would) find the product or service "necessary." It doesn't CREATE an "unnecessary want." It communicates a benefit for those who HAVE a "necessary want."
