Need Help Naming A Healthy Lifestyle Magazine

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I've been back and forth to the drawing board for a year and am still in the same dilemma today as i was a year ago! I'm looking to launch a healthy lifestyle magazine. The magazine will be a hard copy, printed and distributed locally in Texas. Content will include all aspects of making healthy choices from eating habits to financial decisions to health and beauty.

There was a time where I thought I had it! My original idea/thought process was to create a publication about health and wellness with a humor twist. Section names were Idioms I chose that were relevant to each topic- ex. the relationship section was called "Ball In Your Court", the fashion section was "Dressed to the Nines", etc. The covers were going to be illustrations and creative Unfortunately, after much discussion with other colleagues, mentors, friends, and family- the idea was shunned upon. So I set that idea aside for a future project that I will do in the near future. So here I am, back to the drawing board.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Live Well popped up immediately for me. If you want to add Texas then "Live Well Texas" works for me too.
I personally like your other idea too. I think the humorous titles sound fun and catchy. But I'm no expert just a regular consumer.

Your question raises lots of additional questions. Here are just a few:

When you say local to Texas, do you mean the whole state?
What kind of print run will you need and how will you fund production?
Who is your ideal reader and how will you reach them?
What similar magazines is this reader currently reading?
Will your magazine be a quarterly subscription-based publication?
Will you accept and publish advertising to offset your costs?
What will your subscription rate be?
Is a print version of a publication the best way to reach your audience?

Choose Health! (Linking back to Healthy Choices)
The Magazine for Living Well in Texas (Subhead)
Sections could echo the "choice" theme, Relationship Choices / Fashion Choices
    or
    Healthy Texan
