Peer-to-peer Recognition Programme

Posted by elif.sonmez on 250 Points
As a non-marketer, I have been tasked to lead a project group on 'peer-to-peer' recognition program. The program will focus on peers giving points to each other when they live the core values of the company.
Based on points collected over a set period of time, there will be awards (low in value, high in social impact).
I am looking for a name and a slogan to this programme

What's the name of your company? Located where? For what type of employee role? Why should they be rewarded for living core values of the company? What does "high in social impact" mean to the employees? Is the goal to highlight these "favorite employees" to somehow encourage others to follow in their footsteps?

To give you meaningful input, we need to understand (1) the company (i.e., name, product/service, industry sector, etc.), (2) the target audience (i.e., what kind of work do they do, what makes them tick, where they are located, etc.), and (3) what you want the name/tagline to communicate to the target audience.

Can you provide this information and answer the questions posed by Jay Hamilton-Roth?

Company is an international brewing company operating in 6 countries in the CIS region.
Project is initiated by the headquarters. Target audience is employees who work for the headquarters and operating countries excluding shopfloor. Headquarters provide guidance and support to operating countries.
Awards are being discussed. It has to be something fun, something that makes people smile, etc.
The goal to highlight these "favorite employees" to encourage others to follow in their footsteps as well as make them visible to their own managers. Another goal is to contribute to breaking the management silos through fostering cross-functional recognition.

The information is a little thin but as near as I can tell your program relies on internal employee recognition to reward and foster behaviors that support the corporate stated core values.

Handing an employee a trinket and sticking the announcement in the company monthly newsletter is probably not going to do the job here. While I realize you did not ask for program input, the program has relevance to the name and the results it may achieve. Essentially, if you want it to succeed based on recognition the recognition had better have significant value and be hard won.

Set the bar high to qualify and make it a "Directors Circle Award" or similar executive support-type name. Someone in the executive circle should probably confer the awards. Sure, peers can award points day-to-day but the actual award at the end of the term should be significant.
