Need A Perfect Tagline For Management Meet

Posted by lvrguy79krishna on 125 Points
I'am from Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada. We, on behalf of our BBA dept., are organizing a management meet. The title of our meet is "MANUS". The theme we have selected for this year's meet is "Startups". So, keeping in view the theme "Startups" i would like to have some perfect taglines. previously we had the tagline "INNOVATION,LEADERSHIP,ENTREPRENEURSHIP". Please suggest me some perfect and catchy taglines. It may not be necessarily a 3 business related terms strung together. It can be a catchy phrase too. Wish someone comes out with some best phrases and also trios of business related terms.

    What does "MANUS" mean?
What will the theme cover? Why will people want to attend - and who are they? What special knowledge do you have about startups?

Thank you Mr. Hamilton for your response. The word "MANUS" is a Latin word meaning "hand". The word manage, manger or management are actually derived from the word "MANUS". You can Google for detailed information. A no. of management students from different colleges would be attending this event. Students would be participating and competing in a various management and cultural events. This meet will be providing a platform for the students to exhibit their creative, innovative and leadership skills, bring out their talents and enhance those skills and talents. Coming to the theme, we have selected "STARTUPS".A start up is any business with a creative or innovative concept/idea. It is such a new business or a product that does not exist in the world/market. It is usually funded by the founder himself or through crowd-funding or from venture capital funds. Under this theme we would be trying to bring out the creative business ideas, products, and strategies from the students. As the Indian Govt too announced its support for the start ups in the country by announcing "STARTUP INDIA STAND UP INDIA" campaign we would like to bring out the talent from the future entrepreneurs of the nation.

(Aside: I'll assume that your audience will understand the derivation/meaning of the word. If not, I'd recommend a different name that would make it clear what the subject matter of the meet.)

Given what you wrote, a couple of ideas spring to mind:

    Startups: Ideas, Products, Strategies
    (The) Students Startup Symposium

"Catchy and in rhyming" sounds like you are trying to amuse or entertain rather than communicate an important message. Since the name itself is not immediately telegraphic, you need the communication burden to be handled by the tagline. This isn't a good time for "catchy and in rhyming." This is a serious event, right?
