    Kids Stuff

    Mums2b

    Angels

    Ahh, Sweet!

    Poppets

    Miracle

    Mums, Bumps & Babes

    Tiny's

    Tums, Tinies & Tots

We'R'family (watch Toys'R'us on this one)

Previously posted advice, (sorry it's uncredited, but the best advice I've seen on name generation), is get some good friends together, over a bottle or three of wine, (or some beers, whatever your preference!) and have fun coming up with names. You'll have a load of hilarious, silly, unusable names, and hopefully a couple of usable gems!

Start by sharing your positioning statement with us. Who is your target audience? Where are you located? What is the most important unmet need of our primary target audience? How do you address that need? What makes you different from, and better than, your competition? Why should someone buy from you?

You have to do this homework before we have a prayer of coming up with a good name for your business.

If we recommend 35-40 possibilities, how are you going to decide among them? What criteria will you be using to pick a winner? If you can tell us that, there's a chance we can come up with some good names. Without that, we're flying blind.

The objective of a "catchy name" isn't helpful. And just saying that you're opening a maternity and baby store doesn't tell us what makes you any different from every other maternity and baby store in the world. Are you serving farmers in rural China? Urban Brazilians? Located in the lobby of a medical center in Los Angeles?

We need more information if we're to help you.

well I am located in the Middle East in United Arab Emirates. my target are married women age range from 20-40 and women who are looking for unique gifts for new moms and babies. what makes my shop different in my country its the only shop that specialize in everything moms to be may need through 9 months pregnancy and after birth, plus gifts for the moms and their babies. people will buy from me because i have funky, stylish, good stuff that they wont find anywhere elst in my country and also good price for it.

well from the name of my store i want the people to know that its a maternity and baby store not only baby or not only maternity

    hope this information helps

    hi mariyam

how about these names based on the sounds made by babies...

    "uuleee leelleee"

    "Gaga Bubu"

also names catering to both targets..

    "Mommy & Baby"

    "Cuddle & Cradle"

    "Nips & Nappies"

    hope this helps.

Oooooh Oooooh Oooooh! I got one I got one

    How about naming the store.

The "Mater Born" with a logo of a big mountain next to a little mountain. Obvious the Mater is short for maternity and the Born references baby clothing.

Mater Born Clothing I like it. Maybe you can even come up with branded attire under the name.

Best of luck it looks like you got lots to choose from.

    Phil
