Chris Blackman Passes 100,000-point Mark

Posted by mgoodman on 500 Points
Chris Blackman has just had his 1,257th response accepted on this forum, and that pushed him over the 100,000-point mark. Congratulations, Chris.

It's clear when someone achieves this distinction that he or she is making a genuine contribution to our community ... over a considerable period of time. Chris has been a valuable resource to many of us for years, and this is just a convenient point at which to express our gratitude.

It's also noteworthy that Chris is the first contributor from outside the US to crack the 100,000-point mark, proving that Australians are not necessarily inferior when it comes to marketing. Thanks for sharing your talents with us, Chris.

(Aside: I believe that the US-Australia conversion means you really have 114,448 points with today's exchange rates.)

Chris, I'm always impressed by both the quality of your answers and your supportive voice. I learn something from you with every new answer you give.

Chris’s style transcends being Australian but he captures the essence of that country; Words as lofty as the white peaked Alps, tag-lines as fragrant as the edelweiss which grows on their lower slopes. The capital which is the home of the waltzes and has had a window blind named after it------

Am I on the right track here?

Well done despite having me as a pal!

I'm very touched by your congratulations and amused by some of the comments.

Michael: "proving that Australians are not necessarily inferior when it comes to marketing" Umm, I'm going to take that as a compliment!

SteveA - LOL - You should know better than that. Some people will nod wisely and agree with you!

Randall: That was supposed to be our secret. Texans!

Marcus: Accent, what accent? He's referring to the fact I am really an Englishman living in Australia (legally - and with Australian citizenship) and therefore don't exactly sound like a typical Australian.

Jay: I think the exchange rate moved even closer to parity today, so I should have swapped yesterday.

Levon: Is posting on here working for me? Emphatically yes, because my objectives are to sharpen my saw and to help others. And when I post a question, I am always incredibly impressed with the speed and quality of responses. Being a member of this community provides me with a rich resource as well as a learning environment. Rarely, though, does it lead to a paying business enquiry. But that's OK.

Tim P - That's funny - you're the man who taught me how to set up on an e-mail sending platform! I've learned heaps from you!

Tim F, R White, Juliet, Peter, Michael, Steve Byrne and anyone I may have missed - thank you for your kind comments, and for being a part of this community. It wouldn't be the same without you.
