Need Unique Name For Resale/ Antique Store

Posted by kellyaritter on 250 Points
Getting ready to open a resale/antique shop from my home. Starting off in the garage and eventually moving to the barn once we have it "store ready". I will be selling to both men and women, young and old. I have a wide variety of merchandise from household items and tools to higher end antiques. I'm in desperate need of a unique and/or catchy name for my business and a great tagline wouldn't hurt either.

"Men and women, young and old" doesn't leave out many people. In fact there are 7 billion people who meet those specs. (Or do you not want middle-aged folks?)

Maybe you can narrow it to a more reasonable target. The goal should be to target the fewest number of people possible to still generate the awareness you need to be successful. Where do they live? What brands and products do they purchase? Where do they shop? Income? Education? Psychographics? With this kind of information we can use the words, phrases and concepts that will really resonate with your primary target audience.

Also - what types of products & pricing? Are you stocking mostly high-end specialty items, or garage-sale type stuff? Where are you located?

I live in the country, as do the majority of my target customers (35-65 year olds). Very rural area, your more likely to pass a tractor on the road than another car. A lot of Amish folks as well. I will be selling mostly gently used items such as furniture, household items, tools, dishes and home decor. Pricing on these items could be as little as a dollar up to $200 and antique items from $5 to $175. I am located in Michigan's Thumb area.

I'm sorry, none of these responses have been very helpful. I have something different in mind for a name and when i stumble across it I'll know it's right. Thank you to all who did respond.
