We can definitely come up with some great name candidates. First a few questions:

What do you know about your primary target audience? Where do they live? Do they buy what you're selling before a baby is born or after the new-born is becoming a toddler? What triggers a decision? What alternatives do they have? How will your target audience learn that your business exists?

Do you have business and marketing plans? If so, perhaps you can share some key details with us. If not, the plans should probably precede the naming process, so you don't inadvertently end up with a name that is off-strategy.

Hello Mgoodman and thank you for your response.
this is to answer your questions briefly so you can have an idea:

    1) What do you know about your primary target audience?
Definitely the target audience are primary moms and they will be decision makers in buying the product.

    2) Do they buy what you're selling before a baby is born or after the new-born is becoming a toddler?
80% of the buying process will occur before the baby is born, unless otherwise a family is renovating a toddlers or child room or moved into a new house after the baby was born.

    3) What triggers a decision?

From the information i gathered so far from some furniture stores here, i can say that most of the moms will look for a complete theme room for the baby and if they can find a fully customized room under one theme or subject there is a greater chance for buying the whole package from us. But mainly what triggers the decision is mostly price, creativeness that you can provide and solutions.

    4)What alternatives do they have?

Our job and target is to make easier for the family to choose a fully customized room for their kids without having the trouble of gathering each piece from a different store. The alternative is buying a finished room from a furniture store and trying to find elements to match the concept of the room they are trying to build and that of course might lead to buying from many different stores.

    5) How will your target audience learn that your business exists?

we will definitely launch a social media campaign for a start and include some ads in magazines also we will feature our products on TV programs and radio stations to create the awareness.

We don't have yet a marketing business plan, i am currently starting a financial business plan and Feasibility study allocate the budget. as for a marketing plan its mainly what will be done in question number 5.

I hope this helps and looking forward for the outcome, if you see it the appropriate time ATM to start looking for a name , of course i trust your experience in that.

What makes you believe the name needs to be either catchy or elegant?
  • Posted by bilalshreif on Author
    Hello Gary,

Catchy i believe all names should be catchy so they can stick in the customers and peoples mind.
But i think i need to emphasis more on what should be done.
Elegant since the service is gonna be somehow a luxury one and the bigger share of our audience will be customers with high purchasing power.
But thinking thoroughly about the name i think when it comes to baby products and services the name should be simple and cute, i imagine a logo with some pastel colors or maybe baby pink and baby blue more like two names, separated with an "and" this is what i was imagining ...
