Catchy Name For Catering Service

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I'm starting a new catering service in the New Orleans area. I would like to have a fun catchy name. I will be catering for small parties and weddings. Also, intimate dinners and dinner parties. Any suggestions?

A catchy name, tag line, or slogan will do you as much good as if I were to ask you to provide food that was tasty. Define tasty. Define "catchy". Who's to say that one name is catchier than another, or that one dish is tastier than another?

If the most memorable thing about your catering service is its name there is something wrong with your business plan. What KIND of small parties and dinners? Dinners and parties for whom? What kind of food?

I suspect that if I were to order food from you and I asked for the menu to be fun and tasty, you'd pepper me with additional questions. What flavors do I prefer? Sweet? Savory? Spicy? Traditional? Southern? TexMex? BBQ? Curry? Soups? Salads? Vegetarian? Steak? Chicken? Pork? Veal? Vegan? Special restrictions? Allergies? Seafood?

If you're willing to provide a little more substance and detail, then perhaps we can regroup.

I don't get it. Why a "fun catchy name?" Are your customers selecting a caterer based on how clever he/she can be with words? I would think a name that's relevant, that promises an important benefit, would be more appealing. What am I missing?

A "fun" name can be a plus for certain audiences, but a turnoff for others. A name that has a relevancy has the bonus of being useful for being easily found when searching online.

Some naming ideas: Mangeaille (Catering) or Honeychile Catering.
