What type of products are you comparing?
    Is this an internal-only name?

Who is the target audience? What is your core positioning benefit? What message do you want the brochure readers to take away?

Why "witty?" Is this a serious product, or is it an entertainment product?

Why does it have to be witty?

The items that are being compared are medical products. Target audience would be doctors. I know that the name should be serious but my boss said we should be creative and witty in our headers.

Tell your boss that you have researched the approach with marketing professionals and they are in agreement that the most effective headlines are the ones that communicate a clear and compelling benefit. "Cute" or "witty" headlines make it look like you don't have anything important to communicate, so you are trying to amuse or entertain the audience with your cleverness rather than tell them what's in it for them to pay attention.

Part of your job is to educate your boss so he/she will fully appreciate the fine work you do.
