Need A Tag Line For My Promotional Apparel Biz

Posted by info on 25 Points
My Company is Lucky Monkey Designs. We are a promotional products company. We work with businesses to find the best products to promote their brand. It could be a plastic tumbler, direct mail piece, or banner but we have a heavy focus on screen printed and embroidered apparel. Our clients range from businesses to sports teams, schools and events.

I like our name. We are in South east Wisconsin and have been in business just under a year. We are starting to get some name recognition but I would like to add a tag line as we have never had one.

My thoughts were something like "Get Seen. Be Remembered.

Thank you in advance for your input.

"Get seen. Be remembered." is pretty good, IMHO. The problem with it is that neither the name of the company nor the tagline really tells anyone who the target audience is or what you do. You could be a graphic designer for all they know.

I suspect I won't be able to convince you that your liking the name is pretty much irrelevant. You are not the target audience. And even after some thought, the name doesn't communicate a benefit, a target audience, or a business segment. That means the tagline has to do all of that in just a few words.

Separate thought: Your website doesn't have any significant depiction of human beings -- like happy customers, for example. Seems very sterile and focused more on what you do than on your customers.

Why do you think you need a tag line?

MGOODMAN thank you for your input. I appreciate all of it. I have also been considering updating the company name as well. I agree it is a bit vague. We are also working on some website updates too so Thank you for the thoughts as we are thinking the same thing.

The name Lucky Monkey will stay as it is beginning to be recognized in our market but we are thinking of changing from Designs to maybe Promotional Marketing. I think that would make the tag line a bit more meaningful. Do you agree?

On the website we are going to add testimonials along with pictures of previous designs along with some other content. Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thank you again!
