Finding The Right People For My Nda, Prototype

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
I have a "new" balloon product that I'd like to show some balloon manufacturers. I've located a few names - Anagram International, CTI Inustries, Betallics, Pioneer/Qualetex. I've spoken with sales representatives, but I don't think they have the authority to sign NDAs.

However, I haven't a clue how to find the right persons of authority to send my NDA, presentation package and prototype for evaluation.

Where can I find the names of such folks? Is there a listing of heads of departments? Should I just call their sales line and asked to be transferred? If so, to which department should I go to - Marketing? Licensing? Product Development?

I've sent emails via their contact, but no one has responded (not that I expected them to).

Any help would be appreciated.

Tim

Dont call directly, you will just get ignored and turned away by the gate keeper.

    Tim,
The question becomes: "Is a company bound by an NDA signed by a sales rep for that company"

In many cases, yes. I've worked for some where the company would leave the rep hanging with all the legal issues on their shoulders. However, any officer of the company can bind the company to an NDA. www.hoovers.com is a good place to locate the officers. Or the manufacturers directory. Always better to start at the top and be referred down....basic sales techniques.
