What Are Us Demographics Of Travelers Going Abroad

Can any of our travel industry marketing experts (or anyone else who knows) say what the best sources are for demographics of US travelers going abroad.

For instance, what are the largest target markets for travelers visiting countries in Europe or European regions -- the Alpine countries, Benelux, etc.

I've already searched MarketingProfs.com, as well as the Travel Industry Association website. Thank you to all for your time and thought.

    Here are some places to try - many of these are meetings focused, but may have data you can use.

    I would also google travel, incentives and international travel associations. I would also see if you can find any data on travel agency destinations. (iata.org for one). I typed in "travel agency destinations" and come up with a long list of groups.

    You may also want to try NBTA (nbta.org) as they serve travel managers who manage business travel. They might have some research on int'l business destinations.

    Already some good sources given but I remember a few years ago an article that more that 60% of cigar smokers travel internationally. If that still holds, Cigar Afficianado would be a good place to advertise.
