Best Practise Guidelines For Marketing Operations

I'm new to this forum.

I'm looking for pointers to any industry research around marketing operations.

I'm trying to find studies covering best practise guidelines for optimizing marketing processes.

Also any benchmarking studies with examples for various organisations would be good. I'm in the high-tech industry.

    "Marketing operations" and "marketing processes" are pretty broad topics. My suggestion would be to narrow the subject considerably -- by industry, by customer base, by distribution channel, etc.

    Even within the "high-tech industry," there are a very large number of sub-segments: computer software, hardware, middle-ware, operating systems; bio-tech, pharma, chemistry-based; imaging, diagnostic, healthcare, industrial; primary supplier, sub-contractor, component manufacturing; services, products, entertainment; etc. etc. etc.

    I'm sure I've just scratched the surface. You might try reading Kotler on Marketing, by Dr. Philip Kotler. Lots of good stuff in there that would speak to your question/request.

    There is an article that was published in the Harvard Business Review a few years ago looking at a Marketing Optimisation project we did for Samsung at my previous company.
