Looking For Free Secondary Reasearch

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Right now I am doing some freelance work for a local business. The business is a personal assistant service. Right now I am looking at a Target Market of Business Professionals in the 30-45 years old range.

Basically what i am looking for is a resource that will show me a basic idea of what people in this demographic typically use in terms of services.

I am not opposed to paying for research, but free would be better.

Thanks for your time,
Greg

I don't have anything directly for you but a tip when looking at google for data (which I'm sure you have done already). I always find that it's a good idea to search for documents as opposed to web pages and I do this using the filetype: option - e.g. search "personal assistants filetype:ppt" and it will pull up a set of search results within powerpoint documents. Also search "pdf" and "doc" filetypes.

    Hope this gives you more,
    John

In addition to Dawson's Google search recommendation, you may want to check out slideshare.net (you have to register to search, I believe, but there are a lot of great ppts there).

Additionally, if you're a member of LinkedIn or Facebook you can pose the question to your network (and beyond possibly) so that you can get a reality-check against any data that you may find.

I will definitely try both of your suggestions.

    Thanks again for the help,
    Greg
