Posted by Susan Oakes on 1000 Points
Does anyone have any statistics or could point me to websites, resources etc that show the growth and success of small businesses that develop a marketing plan each year versus those who don't?

This is a little off base but if you're looking for help regarding your small business you can go to this site.

As far as developing and implementing a marketing plan is concerned. Well, the numbers can go either way. You can develop a great looking marketing plan but if your target is wrong than its obviously useless.

The bottom line is that a marketing plan involves research and time. If you properly invest both of those things in your business than you should be alright.

Jonathon, thanks for your reply and you make good points, however it isn't for our business as we plan each year.
