Selection Of Topic For P.hd-marketing

HI,I have 20 years of Pharmacutical sales experience,I am MMS(Mrketing).I need help to select topic for Phd.
should it be Pharma related? or general marketing?

    I suggest looking for an area that your pharma experience can be transferred to. Quirks had a recent article about pharmaceutical sales and research. Might be a good place to look.

    Try to think of what YOU are interested in. The PhD program is difficult and it is more so if you aren't researching/writing on something that gets your juices flowing.

    I would be interested to see more research in how international business is generated or, how Pharma companies operate internationally. Most pharma companies rely very heavily on international business development executives. So market segmentation, product demand, marketing tactics etc. related to your industry.
    This way you can combine your sales and pharma knowledge together. This would result in something practically useful to future practitioners.
