Recommendation Of Research Firm

I need some prompt but good custom research, Please help me with your knowledge of the value of these firms: Taylor Nelson Sofres, Milward Brown, OTX, Research International, Ipsos.

    It would help to know what specialism you're looking for, which countries you want to cover and whether you have a reasonable budget.

    Of the firms you listed most are very large. Milward Brown is an advertising research specialist. I've not heard of OTX previously. RI and MB are both part of the WPP group of companies.

    Thanks for your response. I have three issues: advertising affectiveness, usage and attitudes, and a packaging prototype. I am aware that several firms now offer quick but respected techniques using internet samples. The firms that I listed were given to me by a person who has used one of these firms. I want to learn if any marketing profs have had experience with internet based research using these firms ---or other firms---and can recommend a best supplier. Thanks for your help.

    Hope i have got your meaning, for some internet based research, there are many supplier in different country. For example, there is a made in china website, introducing all of the firm and products in china: https://www.madeinchina.com/

    I appreciate your providing the list of service providers in China. I am still looking for someone who has experience and can give a recommendation on the abilities of firms that use internet tools for their research.

    I'm assuming that you have a serious project ($20k+) to be considering these firms. In which case I would suggest getting them to write you a proposal for the business problem you have. Any of the ones mentioned would be credible for general purpose research you mentioned, though you may get a better and less expensive service from a smaller specialist. Take a look at www.marketresearch.org.uk - the UK's market research society. Their supplier directory will give you more information.

    Yes, there is a serious project. My hopes were that prior to going through the rfp process a number of people on this siite would have had expereience with one or more of the service providers. Thanks anyway; I will move ahead to the next step.

    TNS Softres, Ipsos, RI and Milward Brown are all very serious players. To a certain extent your experience will reflect the account manager you get, but all should provide high quality projects from the point of view of data delivery. Milward Brown specialise, the others are more generalist. Most deal with very large customers so there is a danger that you get lost if you are not a major account and some people look to work with smaller companies for a more personal tailored service. However, all are very capable, so make sure you push hard to get the service you need.

    Thank you for your help with my issue. I will work with two of the firms listed for an RFP and will use your advice. I will also do some investigation of e-poll before I select two firms.
