Scales For Barriers To Product Adoption

I am developing a survey to measure adoption of musical recording technology and would appreciate guidance on developing scale(s) to measure barriers to technology adoption.

    It sounds like you might want to use some attitudinal questions concerning technology adoption (specifically as it relates to this industry) with a 5-point scale of agreement, ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree. You should have the statements randomly rotated to minimize any resulting order bias.

    You also might want to consider some open-ends to understand reasons for like and dislike of the technology. These questions would be placed prior to the battery mentioned above so that the attitudinal questions would not influence responses to the open-ends.
