It depends what you mean by social media measurement. You can check out https://Twitter.Grader.com. You can also use RSS for free and sign up to get feeds from Twitter Search, Google Blog Search, and more.

When I am thinking of social Media I mean sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Youtube, Ning, myspace, Digg, Delicious, Vimeo etc.
I would like to find tools that can tell you if people discussing a specific brand or product or whatever term.

    Thanks,

"I would like to find tools that can tell you if people discussing a specific brand or product or whatever term."

Duncan, you may find Google Alerts useful. It will alert via email or rss when someone writes about the terms you specify.

However, since Facebook is more of a closed garden it won't pick up conversations in there :( And unless those keywords are tagged in a video, GA probably won't pick those up either.

Not a perfect tool but the best I'm aware of.

    Here's another useful tool.

    https://www.serph.com/

It's a search engine that allows you track what people are saying about your company/products on forums, blogs, and social networks in real time.
