Location Concerns

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello everyone,

I am currently operating a tutor business and everything is perfect and ready to go. The biggest concern i have is the location for a Tutor base industry.

As it is service base and for such an industry, location is a big concern to me and i dont know where to start looking. It may seem easy but it is actually my most difficult aspect to consider.

Would anyone kindly offer some tips on to what sort of location/ environment to operate a tutor company?

Thank you great fully

As a parent, I would prefer to have my child in a secure, quite, clean and safe neighborhood. I want it close to my home and my child's school. The question you need to ask is where do your potential clients live, work and study? My children are very young, but I don't think these requirements would be any different if they were high school aged.

It needs to be an easily accessible location, above all-- somewhere kids of any age can get to after school. Obviously you will want to serve more than one school, but the best location would be accessible via school bus routes of multiple schools.

I echo Lark's requirement that the area be secure, quiet, clean and safe.

Why not ask your current clients where THEY would want you to be located? It seems to me that you would want to be where your clients would feel most comfortable. Convenient, clean, safe, etc.

If they live mostly in the inner city, then you should be there. If they live mostly in the suburbs, then you should be there. Etc.

Maybe we're missing something, as the answer to your question seems too obvious.
