I know email rental lists are not the greatest marketing strategy and all the feedback has been negative but some companies have been successful so i believe if your offer converts very well you can make the numbers work.
P.P.S Along with the average open rate please also ad which industry you are referring to because i understand this average would vary greatly according to each industry.
