Search For Sap Client List

Posted by MANSING on 500 Points
Hi All,

I want to target UK Businesses for SAP service offerings to all business segments available.

I would be interested to know-how to get information on companies looking for SAP upgrades, SAP support and planning for SAP implementation?

Or any business data available source / Search hints / Vendors / Partners to specific SAP offerings?

Thanks in Advance !! :-)

very tough but a Google Adwords campaign will help you target this quite specific audience.

I'm sure there are some mailing lists you might be able to buy of organisations that are likely to have implemented SAP.

You might also like to check out SAP's web site for client stories which should help ID some clients,

There used to be a company called computer intelligence, who was bought out by a company called Harte-Hanks, and they used to have pretty good profiles of the software and hardware configurations of larger organizations.

I do not think you will have a very easy answer. There are, of course, unethical ways to get such information, but let's not talk about them here.

One technique I have used is to find a users group meeting of the software company, book myself in the same hotel, and hang out in the bar with a large expense account. This was a good way to meet folk.

Another technique is to go to job search sites such as monster.com and to look for companies who are trying to hire folks with SAP expertise.

You'd also have a lot of fun doing Google searches, looking for discussion groups. You can identify your competitors, and see if they list references on their site.

Mostly, it is a lot of hard work. Sorry, I don't have an easy answer for you. If you're more device, click my username to the right, send me an e-mail, let's talk.

You had mentioned that you are interested in targeting these business, but there are likely differences in what they offer by industry, business life-cycle etc. You will likely want to engage in discussions with businesses from each segment to see how they differ in meeting end-user needs, the benefits they are seeking etc. Therefore, once you are able to find people with this expertise, make sure talk to representatives from each so that you get an accurate picture of how you might best meet the needs of these various target segments.

Instead of trying to find them, why not let them find you?

If you have a relevant message for SAP users in the UK, you could formulate a presentation to make to one of the events organised by the SAP User Group of UK and Ireland, an independent organisation open only to licensed users of SAP.

    Hope that helps.

I was going to say the same as ASVP/Chris, with the addition that they appear to sell the list for marketing:
