Wholesale Distribution

Hi,

I want to gather information on the Australian wholesale distribution market. Mainly a break down of turnover by segment and from there I plan on purchasing data for an email campaign.

Can anyone with experience in this area point me in the right direction? I.e. where should I be looking and perhaps a data company you can recommend?

    Thanks for that, there's a lot of really useful info there.

    AC Neilson would be perfect however looks a little costly. The main purpose of this info is to assist with market segmentation for a start up. Would there be a work around or another service that you know of?

    I'm looking for data on wholesale distributors who purchase packaging to house and ship products, which is essentially a large proportion of the wholesale market. I want to segment and choose the most attractive verticals (not just dictated by turnover, but by size and shipping frequency as well) and develop email campaigns specifically for them.

    Would you have any tips on market segmentation and research? I'm trying to segment the humble brown box market, which as im sure you can appreciate is enormous.
