    The first one generally provides information to potential partners, the second one is generally about increasing sales through a specific or combined set of distribution channels.

    To me, "channel marketing" primarily refers to the selection of a strategy to sell through intermediaries, while "channel development" refers to the actions you take to select, train, motivate, equip, and support the organizations promoting and selling your product.
