What research did you do before developing this product?

Who did you think would buy/rent it? Why?

In what ways is it better than existing sign technologies?

Looking like something else doesn't necessarily convey a value proposition on its own, at least, not to me. What other advantages does it have? Sell me the product!

It sounds like you are trying to find out about the trade show and sign/POP (point of purchase) industries in general, other "like" sign/POP companies that are out there, and who would buy your products. Some good resources are POP Magazine (www.popmag.com), www.signindustry.com, www.exhibitornet.com, www.tsnn.com, Trade Show Week Publication, and there's also an annual exhibitor show for the trade show industry.

Attending a larger, well-known trade show would give you further insight into the types of signing/POP that exhibitors use. Write and submit informative and benefit-focused articles for editorial coverage in trade publications that your target customers read.

Also, depending on what channels you target besides the trade show industry (i.e. retail, food industry, etc.), find out who the people are in charge of merchandising at these channels, set up an appointment with them to discuss how your sign/POP can better help them to meet their goals. Hopefully these ideas give you a good start.
