Get ready! Here comes the new year—and another 12 months' worth of fresh blog content just waiting to be written! If that thought makes you shudder, you are not alone. Jimmy Wong, writing at the B2B Marketing Blog, agrees that "it can be a struggle to come up with ideas to blog about."

So, to help, Wong reminds B2B bloggers of a few tried-and-true content sources that are always worth considering. Here are five of his suggestions.

Services companies can blog about:

  • Projects in the works or recently completed projects. These kinds of posts help re-enforce prospects' confidence in you—and highlight services that your clients may not know you provide, Wong explains.
  • Process highlights. Offering cool insights into how you do what you do can be entertaining—and set you apart. "Highlighting processes in the way you deliver your services ... can be the differentiator between your company and your competitors," he notes.

Product companies can blog about:

  • New products or suppliers. Use your blog as a channel to highlight what your company has new to offer—and the problems it solves.
  • Featured products. With lots of product choices, prospective customers may find it hard to pick just the right one, says Wong. Highlighting products in a post, particularly ones that are popular, can be a valuable reader service.
